So this is pretty much my fault. So i just got back from Afghanistan/Cyprus and my flight landed early this morning. By the time i got from the airport, to the base and dismissed, it was almost 4am. So i decided not to go to sleep since i had a hour here and there on my flight from. The plan was to go to the base autoshop and install some of my bolt ons, since theres snow on the ground. Well turns out they are only open from 6:30-10:00pm, which kinda late for me.

So i decided to do a few parts in my parking lot. Started with the TWM STS with cage replacement. The cage install was easy as hell, trying to align the damn shift knob was a nightmare and i ended up fucking that up and tossed the knob across the parking lot and put the stock knob back on. Took a breather and since i really wanted to hear what the TiAL bov sounded like i was going to do my IC, LICP w/ bov, UICP and CAI. Gave up on that after i stripped 3 of the plastic screw push pins. Decided to just do the short ram intake version. After dropping the pipe with the maf sensor in the snow, i just didnt care. Slapped it all together and called it a day. I'll have pics up later of my nightmare

That is why I am glad my evo is not my daily. I tend to break things when I get angry, so when things start to go the way you just portrayed, I decide to put the wrench down and go at it another day when I am calm again. It's amazing how much more difficult things get when you are frustrated.

That sucks man,but imagining that whole senario is funny as hell. I can see it clearly lol. I've been there as well but I just call it quits like Robert said, and go at it another day

Ironically those kinds of occasions seem to always be the ones you remember most, and once enough time has passed actually brings a smile to your face. Then 5 years down the road your laughing about it over a beer ;)

hey Alex, i don't think snakes was pro tuned yet. I believe he is going with Clipse3gt here on the forums. If you are looking for local tuners I would give Cam at Lightspeed Innovations in Red Deer a call. I had a pro tune done from Sunny with Airboy Tuning in Calgary initially tune my RA but wouldn't recommend him for SST equipped rides or Evo's really for that matter.

Been there dude.......

Hang in there, I find that you have to nibble at each mod. I've also learnt to never do a mod outside.

i believe Cam at Lightspeed has tuned many of Evo's and is probably the #1 local Evo tuner for Albertan's. I know "AaronK" did an Airboy tune initially and wasn't satisfied like myself and went to see Cam who retuned him. I know Aaron was much more satisfied with the Lightspeed tune.

My recommendation from my experience is to go with Clipse... he is a busy guy but the tune is the #1 most important part of your car. Tell him Pounder sent you lol.
