I'm trying to compile a list of places that sell fully built (internals and all) engines.

There are already posts on the parts themselves buying different blocks themselves but I mean placing an order and having a built crated engine showing up at your door.

Many people may not like to go this route but (as I am now finding out personally) life happens and sometimes you're just not in the situation to collect parts and build your car that way. Hope this helps people out.

note: I don't think I'm breaking any rules since I'm not linking to anyone... right?

So here we go with what I've found so far:

To be clear this is not for internals or kits this is for the motor crated to your house ready to plop in the car.

hey hollywood, can somone with vast knowledge of stroker kits (i.e you) start a thread with the different kits (ERL, 2.1, 2.3, Speed circuit, MAP, AMS) and a quick summary of ideally what each one is good for. Maybe too, a quick description of the parts...the purpose would be for someone like me who does not have half the knowledge that you, hotdog, murlo26, have when it comes to all things mechanical.

I read some people say, i would go 2.2, slap a 35r and rev the shit out of it...or i would go with a 2.3 and a red....this is good for the strip, the road course, the street...blah blah blah

What do you think, give us something to do for the next half of day?

I am sure a lot more research has to go into this, but ERL's price on 2.3L Street blocks are good. 3250 for a 2.3L with a core exchange isn't too shabby.

FYI most of the kits on the market as of now are just increased cylinder bores and not "stroker kits." They become a stroker when the stroke is changed through the use of a bigger crank shaft and smaller pistons. From what I can gather, the bigger bored kits won't yield the high torque gains, but won't suffer the RPM caps like a stroker.... unless you rock a 2.5L

Any increase in displacement will yield more torque, no matter what assuming you keep the setup the same.

Overbore motors are win as they don't lose rpm ability. The stroker is needed though if you really want to get mad torque as you can safely only really overbore to 2.2L where the stroker can get up to 2.5L which is another 10-11 percent more yet.

Displacement is win no matter how you do it though.
