im gonna drop the dough on the white te37s, but heres the problem, its about 600-900 bucks more than the SL, its not in stock in any vendor that ive asked so far, and it takes 90 days.

so my question for ya'll is, should i buy the te37sl and just pc it white? or drop that extra dough and wait 3 months for the white te37?

let me know what you guys think! thanks

Just because I think volks does a really good job of painting their wheels right and because of the possibility of a bad PC elsewhere...either looks wise or something that compromises strength. Just taking the possibility of non-sense out of the equation I guess.

Your point is a valid one :)
If you are going to PC it, make sure you find a reputable place that's been around.

Powdercoating won't weaken wheels if they bake it at the right temperature, just sayin'...

Ask 5 different people about this and you'll get 5 different opinions. And all 5 people will insist that they're right.

KickAss makes good points. I had a set of GTN's PC'd for my last car. Gold centerpiece to black. One ended up with a fingernail size white blemish.

If you can, wait for everything from Volk. I think you'll feel better about it.

Or do the research and find that a lower cure temperature compound that bakes at 250 degrees will not affect the strength of the wheels. You're right, though, about making sure you go to a shop that will evenly spray the wheels and do a good job.

If you want center caps, don't go with the SLs because the weight savings in part prevented the use of center caps. When I bought my SLs I got them for ~700each, it was substantially cheaper than TE37s around.

Personally I would just get them now and get a reputable shop to powder coat them. But I'm also impatient and a bit of a cheap ass and don't really care if the wheels have the VOLK sticker on them or not. If you're dead set on the te37s in white and want to have the center cap then wait.
