Anyone know exactly how this map works?

I get that it's allowing some kind of timing mod based on coolant temp during warmup, but what exactly do the values in it mean, and how does it determine how your timing is being modified?

u have 2 maps to look @.

percent low temp timing trim vs coolant temp
&
Ignition Warm Up Retard

percent low temp timing trim vs coolant temp controls the amount % of the warm up retard in the Ignition Warm Up Retard map.
So if you have 5* in the Ignition Warm Up Retard, and 100% in the percent low temp timing retard vs coolant map, means your getting 100% of the 5* retard.

This crap is mostly to heat up the stock cat to operating temp to prevent fouling out. I generally get rid of this stuff if you have TP or HFC.

Late to the party, but I always 0 it out.

When the car is still cold, if you leave it stock you will notice a lot of hesitation that feels like miss fires. The car lurches. It's even worse on E-85. Zero it out and it all goes away.
