***Petition For No Front Plates ***Sign It***

good thing we only have rear plates here in indiana

Good Luck. I have participated in these petitions before. Kind of hard to get it to go your way. Regardless of how many people are on your side. Here in NH we have the front plate law as well. And they enforce it routinely.

we are suppose to have front plates in texas, but they will only pull you over for it if they are trying to get a reason to pull you over. ive been pulled over 5 or 6 times in my wrx with no front plates and only given warnings every time.

i feel bad for the cali people.

Well, it isn't a moving violation here. So warnings are issued. But yes, I agree that they use it as a reason to pull you over if they wish to further look at the car to see any further violations. Happens all the time up here.

...sucks being pulled over and explaining yourself, and then seeing a tinted out Escalade with 24's drive by with pot smoke pouring out of it. Cops pull over the 'entusiasts' but leave the dealers alone....go figure.

Wonder if we can find this same petition for all other states?

I got pulled over in my eclipse for goin to slow can u figure that... the cop pulled me over and said that it was for the tints and then he said ohh for the license plate too even though he didnt see it until he came up to the car... then i pulled out 8 PBA cards and he calmed the F down plus i have law enforcement plates so he really didnt have anything to do

I got 2 tickets for no front plate while street parked in NYC within 5 days of each other. By the same cop.

Metro (Vegas cops) won't pull you over for not having a front license plate unless they are suspicious about your car....then that will give them a reason. So many people drive here without front license plates.....they would have about 68% (speculated percentile) of the drivers here pulled over. But yeah if you go through the small retirement town 15 miles south of here, were the cops are Really bored and you have no front license plate.....expect to get pulled over for sure.

man.. it looks like cali is closer to achieving this then NJ.. we only have 5000 signitures ;_;

Here in BC we are required to have front plate. Next door in Alberta they don't. If you have no front plate the police give you a notice to replace the plate. You then have a week to do it and drop by a police station to have it inspected. Failure to comply can result in fines.

I did it! Yeah here in Texas a state trooper might pull you over just to check you out but never a ticket.

hey i was wondering.. for the front plate mounts.. do they drill holes into your bumper or just use some kind of strong adhesive?

they drill into the actual bumper. i will never buy a car again with the bracket drilled in. we bought my wife a new saturn vue in november and we didnt let them drill into the bumper.

Colorado has a mandatory front plate, and it's enforced pretty well, which really kinda sucks.
