On previous Evo models this was a free boost upgrade..

Read "Perrin MBC Installed!" thread and the "how to" and you will get my drift....
This mod should take 10 minutes tops and would be a nice easy upgrade for free (if it works the same as on pre X Evos)
what do you mean? you get more boost or you will decrease boost taper?
i must totally be missing something here... I removed the hose all-together for my boost controller install, and for the life of me, I cannot feel any boost pills in there....

Did my car swallow it?
Yes, I have it removed. You can look at my MBC how to, and it discusses removing this pill.
I tried this today and it reduces the hit of the turbo rather than increase it.
It looks as if with this model, for the first time, there are no restrictors that can be simply taken out to increase boost.
That pill is designed to limit the amount of boost that is sent to the wastegate actuator. Removing the pill will have a negative effect and cause a boost reduction. You are supposed to remove it when installing a MBC because the way the boost is sent to the wastegate is different than with the stock boost control solenoid setup. However, as I mentioned before unless you are changing out the boost control solenoid to a fast reaction electronic type, or installing a MBC, this removal of the pill on it's own will cause you to lose power. Not trying to be a jerk, but you don't seem to understand how a stock turbo config with the bleed pill works, and perhaps this will help you to understand things a little more clearly.
If that's the polite way of saying I have no clue what I am doing, and no knowledge of how the Evo X Turbo system works, you are right!!
I tried finding this pill yesterday using PDX's diy but I didn't feel any pill on the line.
