how many coats did you do?
I used 3/4 of a can per wheel. It's been a month and the plastidip is still holding strong.how many coats did you do?
Yea, I will do that the next time I paint them.Plasti dip the lugs too lol, just paint over them with it mounted it will be fine and blend.
Yes, a lot, but I wanted it to last.Thats a lot of plasti-dip to use on each wheel.
Should hold up for a long time.
I seen guys clear coat them after the plasti dip was fully dry on YouTube. When installing your lug nuts did you have any complications? I heard some ppl say when tightening their lugs up it caused the plasti dip to twist and tear in the lug holes. Would I need to tape the bottom of the holes?i just did mine. let me say those cans never run out. got 4 cans total and used only 3. it applys to the wheel in an odd way. like it seperated and had a hammered look but after a few min it layed itself flat. came out amazing.
i posted a photo in the vanity photo post section if anyones interested. im also going to do the alum gas cap. but keep the lugs on the wheels and bolts on the gas cap chrome to kinda match the window trim.
i just over sprayed onto the tire and after 2 days it falls off and doesnt mess with the seal around the rim.
@phillyevox, idk if clear would adhere well to the plasti dip it would be like clear coating electric tape. and it would still be flat black. this stuff stays rubbery. doest solidify like paint. it also doesnt run or drip like paint so spray the shit outa them rims. haha
