Haven't heard of them.

Awesome you decided to go with an evo though....are you going to be able to use both paddle shifts?
yes i heard of them, i have been to their shop it is very nice, and they have a cool ass alignment system lol

+ awd dyno
ru a ptuning spy lol
no spy here, lol, just looking for a place to have work done when i get my evo. yes i should will be able to use the paddle shifters, my brother has a lexus is350 which has them and they are no problem to use!!

thanks guys!
PTuning I think is also a vendor on these forums. I have used them in the past, but they are expensive for what they do. Its not even like they are the best at what they do. They just charge more. You will be hard pressed to find any glowing reviews of PTuning though.

In the northern VA area, for elaborate evo specific work, lookup [email protected] Or for simpler stuff, you can use MachV.

Where in northern VA are you. PM me if you are uncomfortable sharing it on the public forum.
i have a buddy tht goes there he seems to like them. he is on evom though. i think his username is 4b11awd. not totally sure though.
^expensive yes. way back when i started modding and was ignorant to how things worked paid $110 to have my OEM muffler cut off and have straight pipes welded :( good times from my ricer days

on the plus they do give a decent alignment
no not at all, i live in fairfax VA. I know a guy who works a machV and he talks bad about the evos. isnt machV more of a subaru place? that could be why he says that evos suck and always have problems. where is this ucsperformance place located? If i am going to have something done to a car wether it be something small or big i still want the best shop around to do it.

thanks for the input guys!!

how can you give a bad alignment? you fail horribly if your a shop that cant even do that...
meh, un sub'd
That's odd! I know both Matt and Dan at Mach V. As far as I know, they even have the pic of an evo X on their home page. They are also uber respectful and do very good quality work. I use them for Track inspections, minor installations, wheel balancing etc.

UCS is a little farther out. They are on flower st, Silver Spring, MD. Their exact info can be found on the website, google for it (Non-vendor, so cannot post link). If I'm not wrong, they are a small operation, but very potent when it comes to evos. I would use them for major jobs like clutch install, fabrication etc. I have not dealt with this shop directly, but know several that have. They have nothing but good things to say about them.

For ultra-reliable track-safe work, I use CBRD, which is about 2 hours from me.

Believe it or not, there are shops that are capable of such non-sense. Sad, but true.
I've used Ptuning for alignments, corner balancing and tire mounting. Very happy with their work. They've sorted out my friends alignment issues on his STI as well. Maybe a little pricey, but they're local for me and will continue to use them for the services mentioned above. Kickass, I'm going to look into the guys you mentioned when it comes time for a new clutch or anything else that's going to require some expertise.
yea i think i will just take it to machV. Im not planning on going crazy with the mods just the basic ones. atleast thats my plan for now. lol.

thanks Guys!!
Checkout Moore automotive in Fairfax (across from Patriot Harly D) That is where I take my EVO X. Ask for John (installs) and Chris (tuning). John is an every day Evo X driver. Prices are very reasonable.
Hey Jsnakehouse,

Thank you for inquiring about our shop. We do cater heavily to the EVO X community. Not only do we offer servicing and tuning, we also make a hand full of bolt on billet parts as well as a stock replacement tubular manifold.

Take look at the following services we offer.

http://ptuning.com/html/awd_dyno.cfm
http://ptuning.com/html/wheel_alignment.cfm
http://ptuning.com/html/full_servicing.cfm
http://ptuning.com/html/ptuning_evox_clutch_service.cfm
http://ptuning.com/html/ptuning_evox_clutch_service.cfm

We also offer military discount as well.
Our shop rate is $95.00 and hour. (But we do have set prices for certain services we offer.)

As far as labor pricing is concerned, I am always running specials on alignments or MT&Balancing. As well i can price match a competitive shops quotes. We use a in ground alignment rack (for lowered cars), and touch less tire mounting machine.

This month we have a 15% of alignment. (reg price $125.00) This price is standard or custom spec alignment.

Let me know if you would like to come down and take a tour of the shop. Whether it is small maintaince services, or cam and turbo kit installs!! There is nothing mention above that our shop cannot handle as well.

Also We just came out with this product for the evo x platform, this week.

Thanks Drew

ugh, i miss being in the DC area. so many great shops within a couple hours' drive.
i move out west and now i get an Evo... figures :tumbleweed:
thanks [email protected],, i will deffinently come by your shop some time and chech it out when i get my evo! I would like to go over with you my goals for the car and see what you can do to make them happen. Have you guys ever worked with the MR SST trans as far as making it handle more power? Just curious.

Thanks!,
Jeff

I wish I had the time to help. When people pay a shop to install bolt-ons, a puppy dies somewhere. I mean, isn't that what local groups are for? Meet, get to know, go out on a date, make love to evos.....wait what?
