Interested in lowering the rear wing on my MR, was wondering if anyone could scoop me in on what specific base stand I would need.

I found a universal APR base stand @ http://thmotorsports.com/apr_perform...9/i-84116.aspx But I have absolutely no way of knowing if these will fit... Or which size I would actually be ordering. Not a very user friendly website IMO...

Until I actually have the car in my posession which ATM is being shipped from TX Im not even positive what brand wing is on the car. Any thoughts or advice?

the MR came with a lip spoiler. if the previous owner installed an aftermarket one, then you would need to see which make and type it is. such as the apr one in the example pictures before ordering mounting hardware.

The car istelf is currently being shipped from TX to CO, so I dont actually know the specific make and type until it arrives. Was hoping there was a way to know what was needed from the pics so I could order before it arrives.

If that is the picture of the exact evo your getting then you have an APR GTC 300 and the only way to lower the wing would probably be to get GTC 200 base stands which would drop it pretty low which would be in between the low oem spoiler and high oem spoiler.

Does the APR website sell the stands? All I can seem to find are risers, adjustable rods and screw packs for the GTC-200... Or do you think the car already has the risers on and its as simple as just removing them?

I feel the same way... I ordered an OEM spoiler off ebay for $125, but I figured since the car came with it, might as well adjust it to my liking and then I can alternate them when I get bored.

I dont think they selll those seperately. Your best bet would be to email them and see if you can get those individually

Sweet. Turbo X gsr is right though. DD with that wing will kill your mpg for starters and attracts cops. I myself am wingless because I have a do luck trunk. You should look into a do luck if u decide to go wingless. Looks clean IMO.

Turns out it was $150, and I shouldnt have said OEM... Factory style rather, still would need to be painted, but I have a good friend that owns a body shop.
Still seems better than paying upwards $500 for the actual OEM spoiler.
