regarding 24k service

Never heard of the 24k service. Maybe 30k service? 30k will be very pricey. You will need to chance the tranny fluid, then coolant fluid then the differential fluids as well and an oil chance.

Also, if you DD it is more important that you actually take a better care of it. It is going through more abuse.

I believe I paid somewhere around $450 for my 15k service. I don't have my records on me, cause at work. but I'd look at the service manual and make sure they are covering everything

30K Service (one of the most expensive) on an MR is pricey because it requires SST fluid replacement which is like a 4 quart bottle of gold ($50-$70 per quart, requires ~7 quarts). The dealer wanted about $600 US, but I paid a little more at a performance shop to get SSP Gold fluid. I wouldn't expect the GSR service to be in the same range. I don't remember what I paid for 15K service, but needless to say, it was less.

Paid 450 for my 15k mi service.

My car is at 22k right now. For my 15k service I did the following within $150

Checked my spark plugs
Cleaned the air filter (Perrin foam filter cleaner) -$20
Changed engine oil mobil1 5w30 and m1-104 - $30
Changed tranny oil redline cocktail - $40
Changed diff oil diaqueen and redline ATF - $60

Done!

So do you need coolant fluid drain and fill at 15k or not? I would think that's more like a 30k or 45k service?

coolant reflush is every 30k (miles).

one dealership was going to charge me 1100 for the service. and another dealership was going to charge me 650. is it neccessary to do all the fluid changes? seems kinda steep for the price if i only use the car for a DD.

Vex performance has all the fluid's you'll need. if you buy their oil the oil change is only 15 bucks. not sure about the trans.. but they do decent work. when it's warm outside i do my own work but if it's -20 out side i just take it over to vex.

yea i have been to vex performance for my rally armor mudflaps
i didnt know they did oil changes and fluid changes. ill have to give them a ring.

do you know how much it roughly cost?
