Hey guys, just wanted to start off by saying that I am new to the forum and recently just purchased my very first import car ever! A wicked white Mitsu Evo X! Did months of reasearch before deciding the awd Evo X was the next car for me! Anyways, I have read all the threads reguarding the basic bolt-on mods for these cars such as intake, down/test pipe, 3-port ebc, intercooler, and so fourth, but I am not sure which direction to go. My goal for this car at minimum is a consistent 12.5 sec 1/4 mile track time. So my question is: "Is this goal a possibility on the stock turbo with just standard bolt-ons?" If so, what are the most economically efficient mods to reach my goals?

I have a friend with a 2011 evo x who ran a 12.9 with a intake, exhaust, act clutch, and he is on the stock tune on 91 octane and he ran with the traction control still on.

He got a 1.8 60ft

So based off that, you could see mid 12s with bolt-ons, a tune, and driver mod.

After even more extensive reading I would like to run another scenario by you guys. So let's say i do go with full bolt-ons: intake, intercooler and/or piping, 3-port, and full exhaust. Let's say I do achieve my goals and spend $1,500-$2,000 on these parts. Could I not buy a fp green turbo with supporting injectors and spend roughly the same money and make more power and actually have less aftermarket parts? Just trying to reach my goals with the most "bang for the buck".

Well that's exactly my point. I don't want to spend more on full bolts than a turbo swap and actually make less power. This is an assumption of course.

With a mods I had, mid to upper 12 is a totally realistic but again I tried on one particular event and didnt make it. Doesn't mean I could not do it other time. I really doubt that anybody can run stock Evo X in low to mid 13's.
