Is it common for the reverse/back up light to come ON for few seconds then go OFF? Just noticed this after changing them out for LEDs, will change them out for incandescent bulbs and give an update.....
I just thought it was really ODD...

Buy this and call it a day. (Must bestbinstalled un parallel with the plus and minus cable. Clips are provided usually with those. Not cutting needed.

So the Gy6.35 HIR bulbs go out after 3 sec like the LEDs did.
LEDs not enough resistance
HIR too much resistance
Lower wattage HIR?

I was told by Diode Dynamics that their LED product offering for reverse lights are literally plug and play.

You need to calibrate the LEDs after you install them. I bought some LED lights from https://www.vont.com/product/vont-car-smart-strip-light/, and I immediately went to a car repair shop so they could install them on my car and, most importantly, properly calibrate the new lights. The calibration of the LED lights is very important because it depends on your and the other drivers' comfort on the road. If you don't calibrate the LED lights, the light level will be too high, so it can blind other drivers and create dangerous situations on the road.
