Welcome and...whoa...that X is shiny boy. damn. What camera do you use 'cause those are good pics. The third one on particular is magazine quality.

Loving the bronze/red combo as well. That really sets the red off.

I see palm trees in one pic. where do you live?

From the EXIF data, it's a Canon Rebel XT... Most of them are mildly long shutter shots at F/25 and 90mm focal length...

Wow... Nice pics.... Which lens?
the EXIF is not accurate as it is from the frame I use to border my photos. if you check on all of them, they're all going to be the same pretty much. even the date is going to be off.

I see. Do you mind sharing info about equipment/settings? I'm always curious when I see a nice shot..
sure. which one did you want the info of? I can pull up the data when I get home as I have the RAW files there. just dont trust the EXIF I have on these. I use 3 bodies (used to be 4 - had a 1D Mk III but sold it), so i rotate between an XT, 30D or 40D. the EXIF gets erased and takes whatever the EXIF the frame I use, so just let me know which ones you need the EXIF of and I will pull it from the RAW file.

thanks for the compliments

I'm really interested in the outdoor, daytime shot... and the two close-ups of the engine bay and headlight assembly...

Thanks! I've been wanting to get into photography for years, and finally made the jump last year when the 40D came to the market... I'm so busy, but I still managed to log almost 8,000 shots since then... I'm always looking out for good photos to learn from...

the outdoor one i have to pull from the RAW file at home, but the engine bay and headlight assemby are as follows:

engine bay - regular softbox mounted higher than the open hood, 45 degree from car centerline, -1/3 stop power. 1/60 @ f/11

headlight assembly - regular softbox behind me, -1/3 stop power, 1/30 @f/11

hope this helps.
