Looks like I dodged a bullet. Guess the rear diff going out wasn't a bad thing after all haha. Shit happens for a reason and I'm glad I chose a company that will take care of me and my motor. Thanks fellas

Lesson leaned today:

While tuning a customers car, it became apparent that his boost control solenoid wasn't working properly. We bench tested the solenoid, and showed that it functioned properly. Long story short, it ended up being a bad MFI relay - the large, gray relay in the upper right of the fuse box. We replaced it and all was well.

Good to know!! How did you test the solenoid?

Hooked a vac line up to the air compressor (set to 25psi) to the input side of the solenoid. The default state is open, so it bled right through the output end.

Then, I hooked up a DC power supply to the pins and gave it a couple of amps. The solenoid closed and the air stopped coming out of the output end.

As soon as that happened I was like "Goddammit, this car has a gremlin somewhere".

Probably took another 20 mins or so to figure out what relay it was. All in all, that bad relay cost us about 2 hours.

Sorry to go off topic, but what actually let you know that it was the MFI relay?
Well, once we bench tested the solenoid successfully, I knew it was just not getting the electronic signal to trigger. In the tune, I had the solenoid maxed out.

So if the computer was good, and the solenoid was good, I had to look at what connected the ECU to the solenoid - the wiring system. I looked up in the service manual and it mentioned the MFI relay in the section regarding the BCS. Swapped it out, and viola!
