I was getting on it a little in my X on the ice and I noticed the service engine light come on, I have a tactrix cable but don't have software. If I download the software can I pull my codes? Also what do you guys recommend for software? Evoscan? Thanks for your input!

Just purchased evoscan, I am going to have to mess with it tonight. I had a question though, could I plug into my brother-in laws wrx with my tactrix and tune his car also? I'm new to all of this but it looks like evoscan is compatible with his car too. Any input?

Depending on the year of the WRX you may need a reflash connector. The EvoScan website has a list of what is needed for each car by year.

go in to your car, get the key to the on position ( dont turn the car on), connet your tatrix to the car and your laptop. Now open EvoScan, Select Model *Mode23 USA EVOX* and also select CAN 2006+/EVO X..... NOW Look for the "check/display DTC" botton, click on it and it will show you the what code you got... (trying my best to explain :p)
