Ok, I'm perfectly fine with the basic metal shift knob that came in my GSR SSS, but being that its a solid chunk of metal, it gets very very cold.

In the mornings that thing is like grabbing an ice cube. So I'm looking for replacement suggestions. So far I've seen a couple carbon fiber pieces, but I can't decide.

Also, I want to change out my trunk mitsu star embem to the "Evolution X" that I've seen on a few cars here, anybody know where to get that?

A shift knob made out of Delrin (like AMS's design) is not only weighted and tall (great for keeping your hands closer to the wheel during shifts), but Delrin resists heat transfer.

TWM has this weighted hybrid shift knob that uses the plastic/rubber type stuff that isnt affected by temperature. They are a vendor here so I'm sure you can find some coupon or deal going on.

Wear gloves. I love the stock GSR shift knob and wouldn't replace it for anything no matter how cold it gets.
Driving gloves are for people with receding hair lines and chinese women in the trunk

Ahh, u can't tell me something does not get cold when temps drop. It might resist, but it ain't gonna stay warm....you cannot rewrite the laws of thermodynamics with some new plastic ceramic or otherwise. Now, that being said, carbon fiber might not get as cold as solid aluminum, but it will get cold...and in summer it will be hot

Leather is probably the most comfortable solution in the cold. Although my Tommy Kaira knob doesn't get nearly as cold as the Blox knob I had even though it is also metal.

It gets hot, but it is way better. The leather one doesn't really get hot or cold though. I took the Hebi Bebi off and put the stocker back on when I left the car with Mitsu yesterday. Not risking losing that thing!

I already pulled my race gloves out of my race suit bag, but I don't always remember to take them with me in the mornings.
