I have seen countless companies with bushings and bushing cables like AMS, Busher, Works, Torque Solutions e.tc. Does changing the bushings really help with shifting and racing? Also what is a good company to go with and should I get the shifter bushings, drivetrain bushings and the cables or do i just need the shifter ones?:angrydomo:

Yes they're good, might as well get them all.

Here's what I have in the way of bushings:
-WORKS shifter console bushings
-WORKS shifter cable bushings
-AMS gate selector bushing
-Torque Solution driveshaft bushings
-Beatrush rear differential bushings

I have the first three in this list and I am happy w/ them. Kracka, how are those last two (driveshaft and rear diff) for DD? Can you explain a little of what changed / noise / harshness / etc?

Basically, they just help keep the driveshaft and rear differential from flopping around during hard shifts and fast acceleration. Less floppage in the drivetrain = smoother & quicker shifts. I think they're a good mod for everything from a pure street car all the way up to a track car. I've had them on both my IX and X. If you already have an aftermarket catback you will not notice any increase in noise/vibration; if you're bone stock you may notice a very slight whine, but most likely not audible over the loud OEM Advan tires.

Be my guest :shades:

Two locals have actually ordered what I call the "complete Kracka shifter package" from MAP in as many weeks; both felt my shifter once and immediately ordered my exact setup. Bill @ MAP will know exactly what you're talking about, if you talk to Adam and he doesn't just tell him to text me.

will changing the bushings take care of the stock 3rd gear crunch/notchy issue?

Kracka,

Any reason you went with the works bushings over lets say the torque solutions or any of the other metal bushings?
