I bought a thin wall adapter and wrapped it with electrical vinyl tape, now if I let anyone else take my wheels off I give em my adapter to use. It is very effective in protecting the lug socket from chipping.

and here are my Konig Milligrams that'll be going on the car come summer. I blacked out the center caps and red striped the underlip. btw these wheels are a perfect specimen of extremely thin lug sockets, even my old thin adapter wasn't thin enough, so I purchased the thinnest one on the market.
