hey guys

so recently we had some cold weather here in calgary, but this is new to me.
when the car has cooled off from 6-8 hours and i press the clutch down. start the engine, for some reason when i release the clutch the engine has a light small jerk going forward.

the car is in neutral. after that every start up seems to be fine. could this jsut be cold weather? or the clutch is already wearing out. im at about 28KM.

any info be great or if someone has experience this.

not understanding what you mean. Are you saying that the engine jerks as you release the pedal or that it idles funny after you release?

hmm so basically what happens is i press the clutch, start the engine, after i release the clutch it has a small jerk.

and the car idles normally.

sounds normal. what happens when you release the clutch is that you set the clutch disc and transmission input shaft into motion. Those parts probably have a bit more friction in the cold, so engine speed temporarily dips as you release the clutch.

Yes happens to me every morning you notice it more when its cold but its usually a very small jerk
