SmokeSolid's EVO X Engine Build + All BoltOns + Upgraded Engine Internals & Turbo

Hi guys,

After 29k miles we opened the engine.
We found it in mint condition so I decided to do a stock build.
No need to sleeve for what I am looking for.
Forged internals for a bit more reliable power basically.
This build is to finish up the engine on my current DD 415whp (V.DynoJet) remotley tuned by Hollywood X some years ago using COBB AC.

We are looking for a safe DD and a Race Tune.
I hope we can get near 400ish on pump gas on a heartbreaking MUSTANG DYNO.

We will be using TephraXMOD - Evoscan.
Is going to be tuned locally by “BOMBER Tune”

Is this forum dead? Lol not even one reply.
Your valuable feedback will be disregarded anyway lol...jk

I been using Benvenuto EVO X clutch for some years now. This last clutch saw very light wear on 5k miles on it pushing 415whp(V.Dyno Jet) .*
We used the same clutch with upgraded pads. Im sure it will perform perfectly.

New Clutch: Done.

Flywheel will remain OEM.
Last chromoly one I used was thorn apart from the center lol.

We went for Mild Cams.

After all this is aimed to be an aggressive Daily Driven car.
So camshaft choice was to one of the mildest.
Idle will be different but nothing it would bother my family or me.

OEM Intake/Exhaust: 252 - 224 Lift: 9.7 - 8.58

Tomei Intake/Exhaust: 260 - 250 Lift: 10.3 - 9.5

Arriving this month : Tomei Poncams

Sheps Center Differential Pins
I said why not since we are already here?
Seems stronger pins doesn't insure you totally agains catastrophe but at least they should be stronger than my 2008 ones which have hold some launches and hard driving.

Thanks man. No doubt it will roll.
Mechanics who are building my engine are in Dakar now. So im fucked until the return.
After that they will take care of shit.

Dear imaginary forum friends:

Unexpectedly Mechanics came back from Dakar yesterday. Sadly their team had to abort the competition along with 30% of the vehicles that started here in Peru.

So today 8am all parts are in the machine-shop to make sure everything fit perfectly, build will start next Monday.

This is a 86.0mm bore stock build, my cylinders where intact after 29k miles.

Car should be running before the 24th of January, 10 days from now.

We will break in the engine for 500-600 miles, after that we are ready for the tune (on a mustang dyno) before the end of the month or first week of February.

SmokeSolid's EVO X Engine Build + All BoltOns + Upgraded Engine Internals & Turbo

Importing pistons instruction paper got lost in action (customs most definitely) this bastards like fiddling with other ppl ****.

Se we where ****ing stressed out for a bit until we found the specs
0.003¨ - 0.076mm - Piston to Wall Clearance was given so we are fine with that. for 450 whp - 500 max should be OK (Using 92 Octane), wont expand to kill the cylinder.
Rings will be set as spec sheet.
ACLs fit perfect
ARPs no doubt.

Tomorrow we will cleaning the block so its dazzling to start the build.

Dirty looks good black and white:

In around a week (starting Monday 15th of January) we should break-in the Clutch.
500 miles engine break-in is kind of a myth but will be good for the clutch. Plus oil changes will clear all metal accumulated and take out the lube.

Looks good, can't wait to see it on the dyno
Ty Delite. Lets see how this goes in a M.Dyno. Couple of weeks should be running WOT.

Oil squirters where ****ing trimmed as F and curved so they won bother the fourth piston.
All will weight the same and trim will be exact.
Didnt want to delete them.
