It stores the actual music file in a RIFF format. Haven't found anything yet that will play those files (as far as Windows codecs, that is).

There is a pretty elaborate indexing, file and directory structure with associated CDDB named links in the AVUNIT partitions. And it saves history - to determine the favorites list. So you can look, by year, month, etc. which files (songs) have been played.

RIFF...is that not a wav file of some sort?
Might be, it's a common file type, but I don't have anything that will play them.

Someone would need to figure out the directory structure and how to add the index pointers. I can post some directory listings and file contents if you have some spare time.

I want a Navi now!!! someone trade my SSS for there navi for Freee!!!!
Good luck with that freee part!

Too bad we can't add a section for the engine vitals like the GT-R navi has.
I don't thinik the MMCS is connected to the CAN bus data stream although it does connect to the ETACS computer. It would need the ECU CAN Bus data stream to display that data.
