Well I just purchased a set of SSS headlights and after installing them I am having 2 issues. The car is a base model GSR.

1. The passenger side high beam is not working. I tried switching the bulbs to see if it was a bulb and it did the same thing. The same bulb worked fine on the driver side, on both low and high beams. I checked all my connections (only 2 plugs) like 20 times to make sure it was in correctly and it was. So does anyone have any idea of what else it could be?

2. The driver side project seems to be moving... not just the projector itself, but the whole housing. This includes the projector and the SSS model DRL bulb attachment. It seems like the swivels left and right a little. Is this for the headlight adjustment or is the headlight broken?

Any help or input will be greatly appreciated... Thanks.

1. They are bixenon projectors, which means the low beam HID bulbs and projectors are also the high beams when you flip the switch. Inside the projector there's a cutoff shield that makes that nice cutoff line you see when you're pointed at a wall. That shield is connected to a solenoid that, when you hit the high beam switch, pulls the shield down and away to project the beam higher and further down the road.

You'll probably have to take the housing back out of the car to make sure the solenoid wiring is connected correctly and to check that the solenoid works.

2. This sounds like the side to side adjustment thingy is either broken or disconnected. You'll need to take that one out too to check it out. If not, it might be something broken internally...

So what you are saying is i'd have to bake both headlights and open up the insides? They were already blacked out from the previous owner so this is where some of the issues might have come up.

As far as the motion left to right... its not the the point where if you tap it, it moves but if you were to replace the bulb, you can move it like an inch left and right? Is it suppost to do that? And its just the drive side headlight doing that not both.

Thanks

Before opening them, do everything you can to get a look at the wires or the harness. If you don't see anything wrong or can't get to them (I don't really know, I've never had my housings out) you might have to open them up. If they've been baked and opened before, then yes, that might be where something went wrong.

And no, it shouldn't move at all, it should be rigidly mounted in the housing. Again, check as much as you can before biting the bullet and opening the housings.

so bro i got some solutions.
you can either do what scott says and take it apart and re adjust everything. make sure everything is in working order and find solution to see why it moves.

personally it sounds like an example to when you hold something tight and shake it and the insides get loose if that makes sense.

but you got the number let me know man
