SST fluid level question

I've searched around the forums for a bit now and couldn't find the answer I was looking for.so basically I had an sst leak at the transmission cooler area and fixed it without replacing it and added about 0.5L in to the transmission not knowing how much spilt out. While filling it with 0.5L the oil started seeping out of the oil level check by the tie rod. Im just wondering if fluid came out and dripped does that mean its full enough to to slap the bolt back in and drive or could it still be underfilled? my analogy was that the fluid being dumped in was coming out of the fluid level check before actually being where it was supposed to be.
