I recently bought a 2010 Evo SE and I can't seem to get it to go into super sport. It lets me toggle between normal and sport but super sport won't engage. Any idea what could be causing the problem?

Are you first engaging Sport, releasing the switch then holding the switch an additional 3+ seconds to engage S-Sport?

Yep, still no luck. Could it be that the trans has some sort of error code that doesn't let it go into S-Sport?

I don't know if it matters for that, but when was the last time you changed the fluid? Old fluid makes that SST act funny.

Either somebody flashed the wrong firmware or the transmission/mechatronic was likely replaced with a Ralliart unit as Ralliarts do not have S-sport from the factory - only normal and sport.

You need to have the dealer do a TCU update with the proper firmware.

My guess would be the car had a trans issue and they swapped in a used trans and traded it in.
