2008 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT spec.B

Price: $44,995 (base; as tested)

Engine: Turbocharged 2.5-litre DOHC boxer 4-cylinder

Power: 243 horsepower; 241 pound-feet of torque

Fuel economy: 12.3 litres per 100 km (city); 8.2 litres per 100 km (hwy.)

Visit www.driving.ca for more specifications on this vehicle.
If this is $45K then what can we expect for the STI? About the same, a little less?

Legacy is different class than the EVO's and STI's - difficult to compare
Trying to compare past pricing (MSRP+freight+pdi+a/c tax) to current pricing for Subarus in Canada (BC to be exact).

Legacy 2.5GT Spec.B
$46,590 (2007) $46,590 (2008)
Impreza WRX Wagon
$37,090 (2007) $35,490 (2008)
Impreza WRX STI
$50,590 (2007) $ ??,??? (2008)

Compared to the US (inlcuding destination to Washington State):
Legacy 2.5GT Spec.B w/Nav
$34,620 (2007) $34,640 (2008)
Impreza WRX Wagon w/Limited(2007) w/Premium(2008)
$27,620 (2007) $27,595 (2008)
Impreza WRX STI w/BBS wheels
$34,120 (2007) $ 37,640 (2008)

I'm hoping for a big price reduction in Canada for the STI!!!

you are comparing just the price of them?
Yes, just the trend in pricing. Legacy pricing stayed the same on both sides of the border from 2007 to 2008, US STI price went up, US WRX stayed flat, Canadian WRX went down. I think the Canadian STI price has to drop, but by how much?

The Spec B is a nice car but for around the same money I would go with a Legacy GT Limited and mod it. I use to own a 05 LGT and miss it very much.
