that gave me a chuckleHow the fuck does this crap work?
this... you should uninstall everything and start from scratch.was the openport plugged into your computer when you installed EcuFlash?
I actually had to have mine plugged in while it was installing, or it wouldnt install the drivers for the openport properlythis... you should uninstall everything and start from scratch.
You should always get in the practice of installing software/drivers first before plugging in the hardware. Sometimes it messes up the install process. In fact, some installers even tell you to leave the hardware unplugged and then will prompt you to plug it in. I don't remember having any issues with the install but I am a techno weenie so that probably explains it.
If it works for EcuFlash, it should work for EvoScanI was trying to use evoscan, not ecu flash...but ill give that a try....again....
Try installing Evoscan v2.8 (you can have both versions installed at the same time) and read the code again. I was getting P0420 every few days cuz I was messing with my 02 spacer and mivec tables... anyway Evoscan v2.9 came out and when I read the code it gave me a different code - one that doesn't even exist - kind of like the one you said above. Seems like its a bug in v2.9 and I reported it to the developer.k, i got evoscan to work and read the code i have... P34BO any idea whats that. Also ecuflash keeps coming up with an error upon reinstall.
Which version of v2.9?Try installing Evoscan v2.8 (you can have both versions installed at the same time) and read the code again. I'm currently on v2.9.0019 and the last time I read the code it still gave me a funky code that doesn't exist. The previous versions did that as well - still have to have v2.8.0005 installed so I can see what the code really is. Hamish said it may have something to do with "fast filtering" that he added in v2.9.Which version of v2.9?
