I heard tint gets scratched on our cars is it a fact or just a rumor?

I had to have a felt (moleskin) lining on the interior of the window replace the normal rubber one.

What is moleskin? Ive had a few of my cars tinted by a shop using 3m tint. One has tint on it for 10 years now and havent had problems with any of my tints.

I went to a tint shop today and the guy told me tint wont get scratched

Had my tint on for a couple months now and have yet to see any scratches.

I'm having the dealer tint my windows at a steal and they told me they're gonna have to cut away at the inner molding on the inside of the car so that it doesn't touch the tint and scratch it. I'm having the service manager ask if the tinter knows about moleskin, but if he doesn't, is cutting away at it gonna affect me in any way?

I had the 3m crystalline tint installed, and it is getting scratched. Getting it redone (warranty) and have them install this moleskin thingy. Annoying.
