Tinting... how dark should I go?

I talked to the guy thats going to tint my car. He said. "I can do 25% in the front & up to limo black in the back.." I'm going to buy the premium package... 200 dollars & it comes with a lifetime warranty.

So... how dark should I go? I have a "Apex Silver" evo. What do you think would look nice? I've currently got the stock BBS wheels but I'm thinking of going with black wheels later on for a set of all season tires.

I went with 20% all around a nice clean look i have a PB evo x, it looks even. i was afraid it would look off with different visibility
I would go as dark as possible. 3% or 5% for me. But it really boils down to what you like best.
I went 35% all around. I'm not a fan of overly dark and don't like it when the front and back are different tints. Just my opinion though.
20% all around
20% all around and 40% on the windshield!!!
30% is the legal limit for all the States. Some states dont give a rats ass some do. If you want to have a piece of mind just get 30% and call it a day. I have a 30.6 all around.
i did 30%. i like to see out of all my windows at night so i didn't go too dark
I went with 30 all around and it looks good. I have an apex silver as well. Though I wish it could be a tad bit darker. I had 20% of my scion tc and it was hard to see out at night but great during the day...
I did 5% all around except the front windshield. I can not really see at night and I am always rolling the windows down when turning to dodge a curb or to park.

but it does look good. lol I am thinking about taking it off and trying another shade. maybe 20% all around
Yeah buddy. Had darker tint on my genesis with combination of the already anti sun uv blah blah glass i hated driving at night. Nice to not care about high beams though

I would just go with w/e is legal in your state. I went with 35% because that's the legal percentage :/
i have 35% front...25% back and 6" of 5% for windshield....looks even all way around
oh in my state (ny) only allows 75% front...so i've already gotten 2 tickets for them, but car just looks 100x sexier with them tints
5% all around (except windshied), i cant stand having two different shades so i had to go even..lol.

35% is legal limit for Oregon, don't know where you got your info because most states vary.

OP, for tint laws, in case you were wondering, check out this website:

after driving a tank with the hatch down and being able to see very little, its kinda the same thing with my car..lol. Backing up into my parking spot at home and going into underground parking lots at the mall, ill put the windows down though...lol.

Also to add... In the 3+ years i have lived in Edmonton, i had 5% all around on my cobalt, 5% all around on my 370z, 5% front/1% rear on my SRT-10 RAM and 5% on my evo, i have never been pulled over by the cops :yay:
