Any of you guys interested in signing up together for a hpde event? there are a couple at lime rock this year with various clubs, i've run with NASA and AUDI club. Great learning experience and a chance to see what the evo can do on the track. Lime Rock's a fun track to run as well and isn't far. Reason I'm asking so early in the season is because these fill up pretty quick. Well worth the cost of it.

and at least with nasa and audi club, they'll usually have helmets available to rent for the event. its best to check though and make sure they will be available. also, if you have a motorcycle helmet (full-face) already, you'll have to check to see if they are still being allowed.

I gotta do a few things before I'll be ready...

Gotta buy this stuff:

- new wheels + tires
- Brake fluid + new pads
- Change out the fluids on the diffs
- buy a helmet
- possibly buy a gopro
- get that inspection done

im thinking of signing up with NASA at lime rock which is March 31. if that date isnt good, ill be with audi club on may 18 and 19. i'll definitely be running there at least once this season.

man, the instructors are already booked for HPDE-1 it looks like. when did registration open for this?

hpde-1 is still open for registration from what i can see. the space for instructors for the groups is already full. not sure when they opened registration

i don't think i'd be able to run this time around anyway, but, if it's your first time, you need an instructor right?

yup, you are assigned an instructor until they sign off that you can run alone.

sorry i'm not understanding how registration works. if it says the instructor group is full, that means you can't register as a first-time driver, because you can't get an instructor, right?

gotcha, it means that they already have all the instructors that they need for all the students they plan on having. there is still space in the groups (hpde 1,2,3,4) for students.

yea, instructors are other nasa members. its appealing because its free to do, and they get track time for no cost
