Gentlemen,

I'm at the final stages of the build. Now for the turbo selection. I was dead set on a stock frame 3576 Gen 2, on either a MAP, Full Race, or Driven Fab manifold. But I've been having a lot of conversations with people and am starting to sway towards an EFR 8374 kit. Cost is not an issue, as the turbo/downpipe/manifold are about equal price between the two once Ive paid for all 3. Will likely get a Downpipe and Manifold from Full race or MAP (T4 Divided), and utilize my own intake. The Extra expense of the manifold and downpipe for an EFR negates the cost savings of the less expensive T4 Divided 8374 with a .92(or maybe its .96) housing.

So, leaving out cost, Pros and Cons?

I understand that the 3576(maybe I go 3582) will not have as much potential as the 8374. Both will be internally gated, twin scroll, and under a 1.0 A/R. But, I have been informed that an EFR would take me out of certain racing classes, if I choose to run, such as stock appearing.

If you had to choose, what would you choose? Or what other turbo would you take into consideration? Currently the setup will be strapped to a 2.2 stroker, +.5mm valves, GSC S2, Ported head, sleeved block, etc. It's not falling apart any time soon. Keeping it around 8500 max rpm.

Any thoughts and realistic power targets/max would be nice. I will probably start it out at 500 WHP, and as I get comfortable with the car again (bored, lets be honest) I will bump it up more. All it would take is a retune. E85 will definitely be a part of it as I'm surrounded by corn in the great flat state of Indiana. Generous street use with auto X/track/drag in the mix. I work a lot so I cant travel too often to enjoy all the events in my area, but I try. I understand the turbo is more suited for large tracks/drag but Ill still go out and have fun.

Thanks in advance

Nobody with any sort of experience who can compare the two? I've done about as much research as I can and for the most part they seem to be a toss up, from what I can see

I do not have any experience with the two turbos, but I know that CBRD has kits for both the 3576r and the 8374. Have you tried reaching out to them and asking about the pros and cons?

If your going to run E85, both turbo should be capable of 600HP. If it was me, I would go EFR and either the 8374 or larger. You will spool later but it pull a lot harder.
