Using Stock Ralliart Airbox with Evo X Turbo

I have successfully gotten the stock Ralliart Airbox to work with the Evo X Turbo upgrade I just completed.

#1. You will need to purchase a air duct hose from Spectre. $16-$20 depending on the store.

#2. Remove lower part of stock Ralliart hose.

#3. Cut Spectre Air Duct hose to fit. so it can flex.

#4. Attach one side to Evo X Outlet pipe and one side to Ralliart stock air hose and reassemble airbox. You will need two clamps to make this fit but it's a tight fit.

You clamped a rubber hose to a rubber hose?
It's actually really thick rubber hose from the stock airbox. It doesn't collapse and that hose doesn't have hardly any pressure on it.
What is the other option that people go with if they choose not to do this? I am guessing this is cheaper, but how much money or pain is saved by doing this? I am trying to plan this swap correctly.

Evo X Intake (stock or aftermarket, I did an AMS intake) + small battery or battery relocation to trunk (I did small battery)
I am looking at this thread also:

I didn't see anything about the stock RA intake needing to be replaced by an Evo X intake. Which part # in the thread linked above does the modification in this thread replace?
Old thread I know, but the carid link no longer works. What's the part number of the spectre hose used?
Hi Homelander, what was the part number you found for the air duct hose?
