i have a small rip in my steering wheel...seems like the leather is really weak...anyone have this issue? is about an inch long do u think itll keep ripping from that point?

All of ours are fading. The leather has been a major complaint point on these forums in many previous threads.

get it re done with new leather or just buy a new wheel. I love my evo but lets be honest, Mitsu isn't a brand that comes to mind when you talk about quality.

curious if anyone knows how much a new steering wheel at the stealership is? id love to get a removable one but dnt wanna lose the bluetooth button lol or have a air bag light on and not have any airbags

Get it redone in Alcantara for 300$ or whatever dollars. I love mine so much. Retains the stock buttons, but you get that awesomeness of some aftermarket wheels.

I have been fortunate to not get a rip yet in my steering wheel. But I'm very careful around it (to the point I think the primary reminder for the past several years that it's time to trim my finger nails is when i start to think they might scratch the steering wheel).

yea ive seen some that wear down till its semi white...pretty upsetting when u pay 35k+ and the one thing u touch the most is so fragile

That sounds like a pretty good idea, I think I'll look into that. My wheel is still brand new, but I've been thinking it should be nicer for an Evo.

I dunno, I had 70,000 KM on mine before replaced it with my Alcantara one. The one I pulled is in great condition. Just depends on the user I guess.
