What octane should I be putting in my evo? Im new to the Evo world and I am picking up my car in 3 days and 6 hours (not excited or anything) and I stopped at the gas station to fill up, i just assumed i should be putting the best in I can, Looks like at the Tesoro stations up here 90 is thier top.

Its a 2011 Gsr by the way, The seller put Perrin Performance exhaust and a K&N intake on it and got it tuned if that makes a difference

The highest you can get your hands on is definitely the correct answer for you. down here folks run 93 if available and 91 seems to be the highest you can go in some areas. Them candadians often talk about their precious 94

So is the car new or used and is it tuned? I feel like I'm missing something here.

Not trying to scare you but buying these cars that have been modified can be hit or miss. If you don't want to be that guy who pays for the prevoius owners mistakes I suggest you take some precautions before signing anything.

1. Find out what tuning software was used
2. Who tuned it
3. How reputable is the place/person who tuned it
4. Search the forums (not just here) for anyone in AK that might have had problems with their car and see if that is the one you're looking at.

+1 OP i fear that you are in for some issues, if you are 6 days away and no info yet on how the car was modded.

I have the info on whats been done, The owner installed K&N Typhoon intake, Perrin Performance Turbo Back Exhaust, and he got it tuned through AMS using maps he provided. Still new to this, There is a shop in anchorage (alaska) that can tune and has a dyno but he said he's heard from other people that they need thier dyno calibrated.
