Hey guys, are there any wheels that are as light as volk te 37 but are in the same comparable price range? I really want a performance lightweight wheel but feel like the te-37 just doesn't look very good on the X. I think the X needs more spokes and 6 just makes it look very empty and hallow. Anyways, are there any alternatives that offer the performance of te 37s, but are not as light?

CE28N's are lighter and have more spokes. RPF-1's are an option. AME TM02's as well.

TC105N's are lighter then TE37's in same given size.

CE28N's are lighter then TC105N's in a same given size.

I believe the RE30's are even lighter then CE28n's if not very similar.

Price point Weds is about 50% less then any of the Volks.

For 18x8.5 wheels, CE 28s are 16.0, RE 30s are 17.0 and TC105n are 17.0 as well ;)

I dont have the specs for 18x9.5 though..

You are paying for the name for Volks.

WEDS, Advan, and Enkei equally have rims similar in weight to Volks. Remember Volks is not the golden standard for rims anymore, there are a lot more affordable options out there nowadays.

I disagree. I love the look of most Advan's especially the RG-D's, but they're still cast wheels. Sure, for most applications, and especially daily drivers, cast is fine, but it's also more cost-effective. That being said, I'm not going to disagree that Volks aren't priced according to their name, but I will disagree that you're solely paying for that name. You're also paying for some of the strongest wheels out there (yes, I know, there are pictures of broken Volks out there, but there was also an unsinkable ship that was brought down by a glorified ice cube once, too).

I like Weds, Enkei, and Advan very much. I'd rock a set of RG-D's any day. But, to put them on the same level as a TE37 SL or CE28N Genesis is an unfair comparison. Not to mention, the Mitsubishi-quality paint that Advans rock.

As for the OP, you can't go wrong with Advan, Volk, Enkei, or Weds. Just understand that the Volks are typically much more expensive and you have to actively hunt out deals for them.
