The sound deadening on the EVO-X is horrid, turning the volume up to about 15-20 with the doors and window close, you can still hear music from outside your car 10 foot away, that's if you have the engine off.to me that a lot of waste of sound, When driving at freeway speed,the EVO-X improve alot over the VIII, but you still lose about 40% of the sound vs. parking it with the engine off.

The deep bass notes,I say at about 80 Hz and lower is on par, sound real good. 80hz to 200 seem like its missing something, and if you listen for it, you can hear the back of the car rattle. I think my 1st project will be changing
out the front Component set, with a set of Focal or Boston accustic, and go from there
i think they are the weak link in this Factory Install SSS package.

If you're thinking of deadening your trunk.The Evo-X is going to be a pain in the ass, there is alot of plastic back there,like the battery cover, windshield fluid cover, it preaty much cover the back firewall.There alot of work to be done.

As for my VIII, yes all my doors are dynamated with light stuff. And my trunk i use sprayfoam dynamate.I think in all about 30 lb. worth. In my 8
i can be driving 70 mile per hour on the freeway, with my window rolled down, and can still hear my high preaty well
