Hey guys how do I remove the chrome strip on my windows. It appears to be attached to the seal. I want to paint it and I wanted to know if it could be removed for an easier job

Inside the door where it closes is a black Phillips head screw. Pull those screws, slide off the wiper.

That is detailed in the FSM.

Correct there will be a little screw one screw per door take it out slide the moldings up front towards the back of the car to release and for the back slide the moldings towards the front of the car as I remember and wala

What about the window outside weather seal? How do you remove that?

I believe the seal is connected to it. A couple years ago I traded those pieces with a friend of mine that has a lancer gts model. gts and base models have the black trim, as ours has the fancy chrome look. Find someone to trade with if possible, instead of painting.

Can't remove that it's attached just mask it off when you paint

I don't understand, I can't remove it? So your saying the weather seal is permanently attached to the car and cannot be removed? I have to replace to whole door. I don't believe that for a second.
