Is the rear O2 turned off in the tune? I’m guessing you have a pro tune and not an AP correct?
I have no done anything to the tune since I got the car. I’ve been told I need the tune done so those codes can be accessed or whatever and I’ve also been told that an O2 extension might also work. The problem is I don’t know anyone in the state that does tunes and every shop I call has no idea where I should start. Clearly I don’t know a whole lot of information either but I’m just starting to learn basic stuff so pardon my stupidity

Is there a Check Engine Light on? If not, then the O2 extension won’t matter.
The tuner can “turn off” the O2 so it won’t throw a light. But in the emission test, it could be flagged that the O2 isn’t working because it’s not heating up like normal.
You will probably have to get a tuner to work on the tune. Maybe even flashing something else on to pass.
You can contact Chet, a e-tuner, and he’ll walk you through it.

Chet or one of the other e-Tuners can check it out for you.
Before you get an e-tune you'll need:
Internet (Good 4G signal and hotspot works if you won't be on a Dyno)
A Laptop with Windows Vista or newer
With:
A Tactrix cable
A wideband gauge w/ serial or USB logging supported in EvoScan (AEM UEGO, AEM Wideband Failsafe, Innovate, or Zeitronix)
