Can I run these mods safely without a tune?

Hey Folks:

I plan on getting tuned sometime in the future. I was wondering if I can run the following without a tune safely no matter the driving habit.

Aftermarket Downpipe (AMS)
MAP Manifold
Aftermarket Catback (HKS)
Upper Intercooler Pipe
Aftermarket Intercooler

I'm leaving the intake stock as well as the original catted pipe.

Thanks in advance

It's should be fine without tune since you still have your cat in place.

I would take this with a grain of salt.

Adding the intercooler can throw things off because it will be larger. And more efficient.

Same with the exhaust manifold.

How would a gauge regulate that?

Lol, when was the lat time you looked at the AFT gauge when you were WOT...(be honest with yourself)...

Answer is no - not safely. If you stay off WOT, you will be fine. If you WOT, you are playing with fire.

If you will just drive normally you will be fine until you get a tune, just don't boost too much and definitely no WOT.

If the K&N intake reuses the stock MAF housing, you will be mostly alright, might be idling a bit rough, but mostly alright. If it uses it's own MAF body of a larger diameter, you need a tune.

MAF is there, but MAF is scaled in the tune to adjust for the specific airflow pattern that is influenced by your intake, hence why you need a tune if you change the MAF housing.

I would be very cautious with statements like this. My stock tune knocked 9 counts with exhaust and cone filter on local gas here when finally logged. I would not risk it as some will make it fine, others will blow depending on temperature, gas quality, driving style, etc.

I'm just trying to save myself as much money on labor as possible. Technically I can install everything on my own. The concern is driving it to the tuner with these mods. I don't want to risk anything at all. Maybe what I'll do is install everything and tow it to the tuner?

Thanks again everyone

All of these mods are safe to drive with, so go ahead and install them. Just drive normally, don't floor it. The danger is usually in high boost areas of the powerband.
