Hey guys, sorry in advance.
It's a hypothetical race thread! But it's serious, so please bear with me.
I've been challenged by a friend with an R/T to a drag race, and the stakes are if I win, he'll pay for half of my Ohlins. If he wins, he gets to drive my car to Vegas for a week. So big stakes (atleast to me).
The event we're going to is at a small airstrip (so I think it should be a good/decent surface), and they run three different kinds of races, 10mph roll, 30mph roll, and 60mph roll (no standing start :/ ). The 10mph and 30mph rolls are 1/4 mile races, and the 60mph roll is a 1/2 mile race.
I'm not too familiar with the power curve of an R/T or their gear ratios, but which start/race would be more beneficial to me? Who is the likely winner, on paper atleast?
Details:
He claims that, with an intake, headers, exhaust, as well as some PnP'ing on the intake manifold, he makes 370rwhp, 380rwtq on a dynojet.
I make 388awhp/360awtq on a Dynapack (attached is the curve).
Neither of our cars has any weight reduction, but both cars will have their spare tire, tools, and unnecessary fluids drained. Drivers weigh the same. (Edit: Pretty sure he will take out some of his interior.)
I know this is alot of stats racing, but again, a lot is at stake to me, and anything would help!
