Hey now, the old ones had the body of a brick.

I was never a fan of SRT stuff until I really looked into the new model years. they're doing some pretty stellar stuff actually. You wouldn't catch me dead in one much older than a year or two though.
I fully agree with this. Dodge/Chrysler Blah. But they are getting better. It is about time though. I would take the SRT over the Chevy SS models anyway of the week.

Keep us posted...IMO you'll drag him.

I know I'm late to this party, but I think you definitely have him unless he's hiding something. My room mate has a 09 charger SRT8 with catback and K&N intakeand that thing feels fast as hell when you're in the car on the freeway. My car has an AMS intake, upper IC piping, and a catback, (all on car when I purchased). When we did a couple pulls together 40-100mph we were dead even.. So you've got this unless he's hiding something.

I raced charger r/t with aftermarket exhaust system and some heavy ass 22's. Won that race. Started racing from 45mph.

Details:
He claims that, with an intake, headers, exhaust, as well as some PnP'ing on the intake manifold, he makes 370rwhp, 380rwtq on a dynojet.

I make 388awhp/360awtq on a Dynapack (attached is the curve).
Trim about about 4% off your Dynapack numbers (372/346). RRE has been doing that recently on their Facebook page -- implicitly admitting that their numbers were reading high.

Did Mike tune you or was it Rick?

Mike tuned it. And I ran a 396/362 on Cobb's Mustangjet. Originally planned on running it on Jon's dyno, and then a true Mustang dyno to see how all the dynos really compared, instead of everybody throwing out a "that one's 5% higher, that one's 15% higher, mine's 10% lower," etc.

And I adjusted it a little for the colder weather in NorCal as I was moving.

I didn't know that they were "implicitly admitting that their numbers were reading high" though. That's interesting, haven't heard of that.

Dude you will murder that RT. I beat Srt-8's from rolls, and im only making 343/370
on cobbs dyno. They are just wayyyy to heavy

The only thing you remotely have to worry about is what he is going to do to his car before the race. There's enough time between the time you started this and your race for him to change a lot in that engine bay.

You're a fool too if you don't impart the stipulation that you each get to look over each others cars before the race. Like people said, a lot can change in 60 days.

I know you are friends but $2k is $2k.

On race day at the event I would want to have the ability to get the keys to his car and look it over top to bottom, inside and out. Pop hood, pop trunk, look for loose trunk liner, look under vehicle for e-dumps, look all over engine bay, etc.

Unless he's being a dick and trying to pull something you will own him. I ran one from about 10-15 mph to 80 mph and walked him and all I had was air filter, turbo back exhaust w/ test pipe including O2 downpipe, with a tune on 93 oct.

You should absolutely crush him.

Haha off topic but this weekend I had someone call me out in their Charger RT! haha

He claims he makes 400hp stock, I said bull shit but he kept insisting! He wants to wait until he has a little more done and then race me! I told him to let me know what his dyno numbers are and I will go get retuned and go into the race with 100 less horsepower than him, and still win! Haha

back from the dead......... who won??

You will crush him. I use to own a 2010 challenger SRT8 6.1, there is no way his R/T is making that much power with just intake, full exhaust and PnP. The 60 roll could be closer but you will take all 3. When I had the SRT8, i also had an Si that was turbo's making 300wph and I could blow the doors of the SRT8 with the honda from any roll.
