Ran my car for the first time at the 1/4 mile drag strip last night. Best pass was my 1st one which yielded a 12.5 at 112 mph with a 2.0 60 ft. Setup is FP Red at 25 psi on 93 octane and around 420 whp.
Every other run was worse as the car was a bitch on the 1-2 shift and hit the rev limiter which would bog the car down after it got in 2nd gear. The SST 1st gear TPS limiter is tweaked too. Usually has no problem on the street but I think the extra grip at the track makes it tougher to get into 2nd gear.
I used S-Sport/Snow mode with ASC off and would just repeatedly rev it up while on the brake and then release around 4000+ rpms. This is the only way I can launch decently without getting the overheat/slow down message. Also was shifting manually as Auto isn't consistent enough.
Overall was disappointed in the poor results but I kind of expected launch/shifting issues to exist too. I hope someone cracks the TCU someday, optimizes the over-sensitivity and helps us SST guys yield better launches!
