Hey everyone, I managed to finally go to the track and see what she could do. I think my times were pretty decent considering I did 10 passes so I had a lot of practice and in the beginning I was running around 13.2 when I first got there to my last few runs around 12.6-12.7. Not really sure if this is in line with others who have similar mods so I'm curious is it? (Keep in mind it's an MR too). I found that running in snow mode super sport manual all aids off yielded me the best times shifting around 7200 rpms. I also did use launch control a few times, seemed like it helped especially with the 60ft but not really much overall. Let me know what you guys think. I'd like to run low 12's to high 11's one day but not sure what it would take to get there. Best time was 12.68 @ 105.9

That's a real good time and trap with just a stage 1 ots map, nice driving ...makes me think I should be running quite a bit lower then I am. Maybe its time for a proper tune.

Your time is in line for you mods and the weight of the car. Good job

DHonovich before you judge his time you have to go attempt to beat it or actually beat it first. It's harder then it looks to do.

Thanks means a lot, The only thing I could think of is it might not be running at it's full potential with the Cobb stage 2 ots map. Either way I still need some practice.

Oh yeah it sure was, it felt good passing some new mustangs and camaros

Pretty normal times for OTS crap(no offense), get a dyno tune by a respectable tuner and you'll easily be in the low 12s@110+. I have an MR also. BTW, your car looks sick man!

I think I trapped a little over 100mph bone-stock, and I swear my car felt slow AS SHIT lol.

Once the weather breaks I'm hoping to hit low 12s@110+.

Based on how my car runs from a roll I'm pretty confident it will trap at least 110mph.

Haha none taken I knew the ots maps aren't that great to begin with I just used them to help keep the car in line as I pieced together all the boltons, but it looks like its time to definitely get a proper tune. Low 12's would be very nice. What's done to yours? I don't even remember how slow it was when it was stock lol, but it doesn't help the fact that I pretty much put the intake catback and a stage 1 tune on almost immediately after I got the car haha. Good luck man and thanks for the kind words! Post a timeslip once you manage to get a few runs, would love to see where your cars at, it sounds pretty strong.

I ran stock a few times last summer I think the best I managed was a 13.6-13.7

I have similar mods, and a protune, but not the lowering springs, and about the rims and tires, they count if they are lighter, and I would add the lightest rim possible, and that would be Rays CE28N or TE37, and any weight reduction comes in handy, put a light weight battery, carbon drive shaft.
I remember reading that the 311 RS went to the texas mile
event, and it did a 12.4 quarter mile with 111 mph, and that is as good as it gets for a boltons stage car, so you matched that you should be satisified.

My buddy did 12.2@112mph with bolt-on's on pump gas, full weight.

12s IMO is not fast, but just slightly quick for a normal street car.

I don`t know about you but a 12 second car is very fast.
And did you remove the torque limiter in 1`st gear? That would make the launch faster, and destroy the gearbox later, eventually.
Euro spec evo x MR from 2008 does not have a torque limiter, and my tuner had to put in one to protect my gearbox, because I cannot afford the repair bill, and that is why I have only launched my car once on a wet surface, not to have too much grip, and it spun all tires, and it was very fast, way, way faster than stock.

I didn't have the first gear limiter removed as I'm running a stage 2 ots map. I think you can only do that open source.

I wasn't trying to judge I was just surprised by the time given the mods. My 14 GSR traps 109 with OTS stage3 cobb. and does 12.6-12.8 but I have had a hard time getting it to hook up with the stock tires. I used to regularly get 1.55-1.65 60' in my evo8 but have had trouble with the evox getting better than 1.8.

differnt cars, different weights, different gear ratios, different trans Different animals. It's not apples to apples. You yourself may get stuck in the 12's the car has a weird E.T curve vs the mods it has.

Don't mean anything. Anyway he's 3 tenths faster than you. On a track that looks like he's blowing your doors off by 2-3 cars at that mph. You seem to be looking at his finally mph and judging his time but his car obviously was out pacing your 12.9 timeslip regardless of mods. Again theres a strong chance if you took your mr out with his mods you are going to run a similar time regardless of what the final mph says.
