Was wondering this question. Looked through Google and searched the entire section for 5 speed transmission. Here. Everything I read is about if their clutch is slipping and only one asked how long can they push it for until it finally gives out. My question is if you continue to drive it with the clutch slipping is it harming the transmission. Yes maybe a dumb question but I would like to know. My clutch is super slipping. Yes I know "why not replace it?" Because my baby was prematurely born. So me and my wife were hospitalized and had to spend my clutch money on bills because good ole cali takes forever to pay your fmla. Long story short I am going to change it out. Just waiting for the funds.
Also if I may add. Been quoted $1650 for my clutch service. ACT clutch kit and flywheel, labor and fluids. But Kooldino has a stock clutch and flywheel for sale and was wondering if i could just buy that from him and fluids and labor and not have to buy everything like.. TOB.. etc...
Any help is very much appreciated. Thank you!
