DIY Intake duct

Did a quick DIY duct for my GSR. I have the JDM fog deletes, so I wanted the space on the driver side filled up. Always had this silicone duct when I had the ETS intake with small heatshield (can route duct behind driver headlight and point it straight up to intake filter. Had it secured with an L bracket to the OEM intake mounting points. Now I got the MAP 3.5" intake which has a more substantial heatshield, so I cut a hole in it. Pictured is still my 3" ETS intake in with the MAP heatshield, before I get retuned for the bigger intake. Doubt this will do much, but it was easy to do so why not.

Nice writeup and a cool project. Did you have to cut or trim anything to get the duct hose up to the filter?
Nope. If you have the ETS heat shield, you eliminate the OEM intake mount and the 3" hose easily passes through behind the headlight and atop the LICP.

Great project!
Thanks!
