I found the right serpentine belt that fits without the AMS A/C delete and the A/C compressor.

Here is a pic of the part number.

Its also Gates part number k060815

I attached the belt routing diagram.

Any issues with this not having enough contact with some of the pulleys? Think it's the alternator from the diagram that it doesn't contact a large portion of.

Take off the heat shields, then unbolt it from the firewall
I had that part. I got it out now. Just had to pull harder on the larger line. When in doubt, pull harder LOL.

Chet. how do you remove the AC lines? I have the smaller metal line out, but the bigger one where it attaches to the firewall.. how's that one come out?

Mine came in at 3,326 last weekend with about 4 gallons left in it. I still haven't drained the windshield wiper fluid though. That's approximately 100lbs cut since the same event last year (seat, battery, fog lights, rear GiroDisc rotors are the changes).
Take the windshield washer system out. It's allowed in SM :)

Finally made myself a radio delete panel :) It's pretty high tech stuff :shades:

!SPOILER ALERT! LOL

Come on! Lol it'd be like an ounce. I could fart before I get in and lose that. I would use that INSTEAD of carpet. So who knows it may save that ounce. Pre preg of course.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I was just curious if there was one already on the market.

QWERTY that is what I was looking for. Thank you sir! May fancy it up with some CF just because i'm super cool  lol

I'm removing the fosgate head unit this off season but I need something to cover the hole. Do any companies make a cover? Or am I going to have to fab one myself?

I got all 4 sensors and sandwiched them between 2 - 8"x8"x 1/2" hdpe plastic , it's held together by 5 bolts that put tension on the sensors, I then wire tied everything under my Recaro Profi's
Don't wanna say I thought this would work long ago….. but I was really wondering why nobody had done that yet lol. People were over thinking it trying to electrically fool it and whatnot. Take it to an old timer mechanic and he will give you some very simple ideas that work. It's embarrassing at times lol. Gave me a great idea for a motor mount one time after I installed a 90A AMS mount.

He speaks truth about the rear breakin loose easier with all the weight out. It will come around much easier. Aero makes a difference at all speeds. Try to hold a wing outside your window at 30mph .. Then go back and pick your arm up out of the road lol.

Yeah. I need me an RS rear diff. Ours is stupid heavy.

and the midget weighs 1k lbs less than the X
Exactly lol. I will keep my assistance on the evo.

I was talking with a guy last weekend who has an evo 8 body. It's the chassis, below the seats, no pillars or anything. The firewall being the highest factory point, with a cage essentially. Still weighs approx 2400 lbs and I was asking about this as well as power steering. He said he is keeping both. I think it just depends on how hard you want to work really. But that car proves that all of our weight comes from our drivetrain.

I drove an MG midget at the last autox event. It is very very different. I felt like I had to stand on the pedal to get it to slow at 5mph :confused2: scared me a little lol.

it may be able to be done with the bumper on, it would be 100x easier to do with bumper off
:yeahthat: I went ahead and removed the harness too and it is held on in several locations inside the bumper. Much easier with it off.

this is the pic they sent me, Ill let you know when they arrive
Awesome. I don't have kids, but still would like some of these. Make sure you post installed pics. Racecar stuff woohoo lol.

Man what's up with the interwebz lately? So much bickering going on between everyone. Why can't we all just get along?

No, but the scale that I weighed it on is accurate to +/-10 pounds

When the weather warms up I am going to go re-weigh it. I am hoping to be in the high 2800 pound range
Ok wasn't sure how accurate some of those are. I want to replace the seats, seems to be a huge weight savings, and is still nice looking. I try to do all I can and still keep it sort of nice to drive on the weekends with friends in the back. Hard to balance all of it sometimes.

Curious, Have you weighed this on AccuSet scales before, or just the large scale? I'm sure it is substantially lighter than mine, but curious to see it on race scales with an exact weight. I need mine to go on a major diet! Here is mine after we corner weighted it lol 3497 with a half tank of fuel, no carpet/board/spare tire/tools in trunk and no windshield washer fluid. GSR w SSS/aero kit and mods listed in sig.
