I can tell you that removing the airbags from the dash along with gutting out all of the vents behind it and stereo equipment etc drops a good chunk. The dash is less than half as heavy once gutted.

Need to get around to doing some more lbs savings on mine! Vroom vroom!

Ya I was trying to find the stuff I haven't read yet since I've been busy all day and he's made that whole section a mess.
Hes trollin ya man, lol

Yea no kidding look at the vanity section and the dude has literally the last post on every single thread on page 1....retard

I was actually just researching that last weekend. I could either replace the power steering pump with an electric one, or replace the whole rack with an electric version. But most of the electric steering racks require programming and additional sensors to determine steering angle. They also tend to be heavier than the stock ones.

Replacing the power steering pump with an electric pump would be more feasable, but I dont know if the electric pump would actually be lighter than our compact stock unit.
The factory ps rack in the evo...could you just run a loop on it to allow for fluid expansion and just fill the rack with ps steering fluid and call it good? Then you'd just be able to remove everything else and just run whatever fluid you could fit in the rack.

Chet you ever consider getting rid of power steering?

I'd bet aluminum doors would be half the cost of cf ones on the market currently

Did you ditch power windows motors?

Maybe could look into a lower weight glass too. But other than getting cf body panels man or ditching things like sway bars like I was teasing you about in the garage, you may be about done lol. Could be a baller and get some weds haha

Think you're list is missing that you removed the oem hood scoops and that you replaced the oem wing?

You also did all of the splash shields and Fender liners right?

What about power windows motors

There isnt anywhere to put it.

I dont know if the stock door knobs, and trim will go onto the CF doors, and I would hate the look of CF doors on my white car.
You can have them painted. Did it with the hood on my other car

Chet I'm surprised you haven't ditched your oem doors yet for cf. I can't remember whether you have the oem hatch too? Guess I didn't look close enough when you were over here. Was too distracted by all the stickers inside! Lol jk
