Fuel Pressure Regulator Needed?

At what point is an AFPR needed on the X? I know on a DSM, a 255 will outrun the stock FPR so an AFPR is needed when the pump is upgraded. Just not sure about the X. I am planning on running a double pumper...I know it can be used on the stock rail, but what about the stock FPR?

Larger pumps (bigger than 255's) upgraded fuel rails, surge tanks and probably 2000cc injectors since there is nothing between 1300's and 2000+ yet. I would assume all those would be a good reason if not a necessary reason to get an FPR kit.

If you are running an inline pump like a 255 then you will need a FPR. But for in tank setups you should be good up to a 340 you also might look into porting the return line orifice.

not that I could tell car ran fine. I was running e85 85% of the time and 91 the other 15%. I was on stock on turbo and just your common bolt ons. Now I am running the EF4 with short runner manifold and a few other things.

What are you plans with the car when you put the double pumper in?
